Facetheory Glycomide Body Cream B1: First Impressions

Image
Facetheory Glycomide Body Cream B1 jar (Slightly Clickbaity) Headline This cream is a bit weird but definitely effective About my body skin I haven't had this diagnosed but I'm almost completely certain that the bumps on my arms (and legs but we'll ignore that for now) are KP - keratosis pillaris. Even if it's not KP, the pores are blocked and form little bumps like closed comedones. I started noticing it about 5-10 years ago and it just gets worse as I age! Booooo. Even if I didn't mind the appearance, they're dry and itchy so I need to treat it or I'll scratch. They already leave pigment behind regardless of whether I scratch them. 10% urea is softening and moisturising, no more dry bits, but it doesn't get rid of the bumps or pigment. So I'm adding a 9% glycolic acid body cream. Cost of the Facetheory Glycomide Body Cream B1  £15 for 170ml  Introduction I've tried a few Facetheory products and haven't liked any of them. One didn'

Sooryehan Bon Firming Cream - First Impressions

Another best-in-class product from Sooryehan. The one cream to rule them all!   About my skin I used to stick to more affordable products and use a lot of different products to address features like signs of aging, larger pores and CCs, redness and dull skin. This usage of a large quantity of more affordable products might be changing because of trying Sooryehan!  I'm going to call these things I'm addressing "features" rather than "concerns", which is just a personal preference. My skin doesn't need fixing, I just tailor my routine to address certain aspects of it. This may seem a pedantic choice of words but language matters!  I'm 40 with combination skin, prone to CCs but not acne (unless I've used a product that disagrees with me) and my skin is perpetually dehydrated because of the actives I use. My neck is dry, dry as a desert, and very sensitive, so I use an entirely different routine that would be too bland for my face - plus, my neck rou

That's actually the Clear Facial Treatment Lotion - serves the same purpose for me! (Slightly Clickbaity) Headline At any point in the last year, I would have told you a First Treatment Essence of some kind was essential for me. Now I'm not so sure. Sooryehan Ginseng First Essence First Impressions: The product that changed how I think about skincare

The Sooryehan Ginseng First Essence has blown my mind! If their other products are as awesome as this, I expect I'll be repeating this sentiment often! Blog Intro: Why Blog?

Image
On the blog title My Reddit username & "fermenting": because I love anything skincare that is fermented but also I like to "incite or stir up trouble or disorder" (thanks dictionary!) - you'll see why below! Note: if you read this and it all seems like too much work but you're interested in the products I'm reviewing, worry not. For the product reviews, I'll be pushing the stuff like this to the end of the review so you can just read about my experience with the product if that's more your thing. You might think all this feminism business has no place in a skincare review and that's totally fine. But it's my blog and I'm gonna write it my way :) Intro to the Intro I decided to write this blog because I love reading blogs and apparently the golden age of blogs is over. What better thing can there be than to contribute to a dying medium?!  In all seriousness, this is mostly about w
