I'm using a sheet mask most evenings to prep my skin for a wedding at the end of the month. In some ways, it's not necessarily fair because I'm adding dewiness. This can be significantly affected by what I apply the next day so it can be down to unfair meddling on my part when I change my products due to time or whim. However the more I think about it, the more I realise that I'll need to change my routine itself for the wedding itself. Realistically, I'm going to have to do without sunscreen reapplication because it'll mess up the makeup and because it's not my makeup, I won't be able to reapply that either. I don't endorse skipping reapplication of sunscreen. I burn really easily so I always reapply. I carry two in my handbag. But it's only one day and hopefully...

As soon as I came up with the title, I was like, that seems familiar... I've recently read My Year of Rest and Relaxation so I think that's where I got it from. Well worth a read if you grew up on stuff like Sylvia Plath and Bret Easton Ellis. I'm not saying it's quite like those but imagine a comic book crossover and you're not far off, although the nascent feminism of Plath is very much tempered by the Ellis (or is it Easton Ellis if we're surnaming, not sure).
